The most intimate time with God and man took place when He breathed into Adam the breath of life. He walked and talked with God in the cool of the day. I heard it preached that it meant Adam communed with the breath of God. The very essence of God. I like that. But can we handle all that God is!!! I want to know God in all His fullness. How about you?

Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Is there a part of your day set aside to spend time with God and His Word. Pray often and pray intensely. And then just sit in His presence. Think of yourself as a dry sponge and the Holy Spirit being rain. Let Him saturate you. Then go out and be a blessing to the world.

Thanks Minister Ginny, I needed to read this today. I don't know about anyone else, but I need to take more time to be 'saturated'. We can always tell when we are in a dry spot. I've been there before, so I know the signs. It's not a good place to be. The Bible tells to to 'draw nigh to God'. When we begin to let other things dwindle the time we spend in His presence, your spirit man begins to starve. You can read your Word, you can say your prayers. But, if your heart is not right, you will starve and stray.

Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart. "Father God, I confess that I have violated Your holiness. Please cleanse me from all known and unknown sin. Thank You, Father for being holy enough to be angry at my sin, but loving enough to forgive me and to reconcile me to Yourself". There are times when we have all violated God's holiness. Prayerlessness is a major sin. Don't let other things steal your time and devotion to God. Repent and step into His holy presence

As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you, God. You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship you. You alone are my strength and shield. To you alone my spirit yields. My soul thirsts for you in a dry and weary land.

I'm trying to slow down because I hate when I don't give enough time to fellowshipping with God. Problem is that when you slow down in one area, here comes something else trying to take your focus. We have to be diligent and it's an ongoing process isn't it?

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 KJV

How desperate are we for God? How close do we really want the Lord to be to us. Do we trust Him more than life itself. Lord, we are desperate for you. We long for your touch. As the deer pants for the water, we pant for you. We thirst for you. Nothing else will quench that thirst.
