Do you consider yourself a solider of the cross? A warrior with both grace and strength, and person
whom being trained by the very hand of God who’s very mission is to
hinder, stop, and destroy the works of God’s enemy. Is our walk with God
serious enough to say we would lay our lives down to defend it? Would
we continue to walk in it even if all we did was never noticed by those
around us? Do we believe and love truth enough to stand alone on this
battlefield of good and evil and face even those in leadership if they
are found compromising God’s word? It isn’t necessarily just what we say
they defines us, it is more what we do –amen
On this campaign to deliver truth and bring down the strongholds of evil we are faced daily with
situations and people that will either line up with God’s word, or will
not. For the solider, their duty is to defend such Word. But what
happens when evil slips into our homes, churches, and communities. When
the fruits of evil are found and seen in our loved ones, our church
leaders, and even our community leaders? When it is known beyond a doubt
that evil has indeed tainted what belongs to the Lord. This situation
it can be an emotional roller coaster.
We have our groups and our friends, and to be the one in the middle,
opposing what is being done is far from easy. We hear words such as “it
will be ok” “just let God handle it”, but the fire that burns within us
says “no it wont be ok”, and “God has called us to deal with this”.
It is one thing to battle on the spiritual war field, when the enemy is clear. It is another to
defend our loved ones, churches, and communities from the corruption of
evil, brought about by those we trusted, and have known for years. Were
little white lies turns into sinful corruption. Do we dare say anything,
and take the risk of stirring the waters, or do we just stay silent?
Would our friends stand with us, or would they turn
their backs to us? Would it matter?
In the book “The truth war” by John MacArthur he says this - “We cannot
sit by and do nothing while worldly, revisionist, and skeptical
attitudes about truth are infiltrating the church! We must not embrace
such confusion in the
name of charity, collegiality, or unity. We have to
stand and fight for the truth - and be prepared to die for it - as
faithful Christians always have! Truth is always under
assault. And it is actually a sin not to fight when
vital truths are under attack.
God is gathering those in his church that will stand. He is training and
testing them for a battle that will rock the foundations of the earth.
Men and women that by the fire of the Holy Spirit will not give any
ground to the enemy, but will stop it in its tracks or die trying. They
are an army that doesn’t know the meaning of the word surrender, or
compromise. They are knights of the king Jesus Christ, Defending a
kingdom not yet seen, but truly on its way. Are you ready to enlist in
his army today?
